The prestigious Udaya TV of Sun Network has come out with a complete indigenous dance based program ‘Kick’ with super star Dr Shivarajakumar as ‘Mass Leader’ – the lovely looking Rachita Rao and famous dance director and director of Kannada cinema A Harsha are two prominent judges. Very popular anchor Akul Balaji is the host of ‘Kick’ that is on air from 16th of July at 9 pm to 10.30 pm. It is on Saturday and Sunday – a tough time as Zee TV is with ‘Dancing Star 3’ with V Ravichandran, Priyamani and Mayoori in the judges seat.


There are four teams in ‘KICK’ – Mysuru Maharajas, Bengaluru Blasters, Hubballi Haidas and Mangaluru Masters. There are twelve pair in this show. Three pair come under the mentors – Karunya Ram, Kavya Shah, Deepika Kamaiah and Apoorva Gowda – all heroines of the Kannada cinema.

As a dance lover, I would say the perfection has to be reached. I am preparing myself with lot of inputs from this ‘Kick’ research team and at home my daughter Nivedhita is helping out to know more. For the participants we are explaining in details. The purpose behind is to enlighten them and secondly their relatives watching it should not curse us. Akul Balaji is also super star today. He is there to give entertaining moments stated Dr Shiv. Dance has been close to heart for Dr Shiv. He used to dance in local functions when he was in Chennai at school and college days before coming to cinema.


A Harsha dance director and director remembering his beginning days with Udaya TV stated that he won prizes on behalf of Extremer team in Udaya TV competitions. Today I am judge for a reality show makes me very happy. I am here to look at the technical details.


Rachita Ram very popular actress of Kannada cinema pointed it is a great opportunity in her career. I look at the costume sense, expressions, and movements in tune with the songs. I am basically a Bharatanatyam dancer. I should thank my father for giving me that learning she said.
